Ralph Bressler's Ascent of Mount Newfoundland (1232 feet)

Trip Report: Parked at the trailhead for the northern terminus of the Four Birds Trail. Kept on the trail until near the summit of Newfoundland. Bushwhacked up to the summit and then back down to the trail. Did not want to miss White Pine Bluff. Fantastic views from here despite the hazy day. Decided at this point to hike to Green Pond rather than drive. Continued on Four Birds until the power line right of way. Walked up the right of way to a woods road. Followed the road all the way to near the summit. Bushwhacked to the summit and then reversed course for the trip back. Seven miles of rugged trail!
