SoloJoe's Ascent of Big Beech Mountain (1200 feet)

Trip Report: Second of five peaks on the day. After catching sunrise from Windbeam, I drove around Monksville Reservoir and through Hewitt, parking at large dirt pullout on south side of Rt. 511. Crossed road, stepped over guard rail, followed blue-blazed Highlands Trail into woods and, eventually, to summit. Adding a bushwhack of Jennings' steep east face for my third peak of the morning made this a 7.4-mile two-fer.
