Description: Big Beech Mountain is most easily accessed via a half hour hike along the Highlands Trail from Long Pond Ironworks. Although the ascent is 800 vertical feet, there are no strenuous inclines. There are two viewpoints from the trail on Big Beech and the true summit is just a few minutes hike North from the North-most viewpoint. If you hike off the trail towards the east, you will find some excellent easterly views from Big Beech's cliffs.

The photograph above was taken from the swamp that feeds Jennings Hollow Brook.
