Description: Mount Newfoundland is part of the 60-mile long Green Pond outlier and is sometimes considered part of Green Pond Mountain.

The cliffs on Mount Newfoundland's eastern face offer splendid views of Green Pond Mountain, Copperas Mountain, and Kanouse Mountain.

The actual summit is a rock outcropping surrounded by trees. It offers no view except when the leaves are down.

Mount Newfoundland is climbed by the white-blazed Four Birds Trail. There is a parking lot at the end of Bigelow Road. There are no signs indicating that this is Newark Watershed land, but it is.
