Description: Morris Lake Mountain is a tall narrow mountain that rises steeply from the Sparta Glen and forms the western shore of Newton Reservoir/Morris Lake.

Morris Lake Mountain has a dense, unofficial trail network on its south side, originating at the end of the one-lane asphalt lane that goes through Sparta Glen Park.

Though named for Morris Lake, this mountain's only unobstructed views are of Lake Mohawk. The views of Morris Lake/Newton Reservoir are obstructed, but good nonetheless.
